Brea 'Margarita Vineyard', Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles 2021
Brea is a project between Chris Brockway of Broc Cellars and Tim Elenteny. The company was created to supply site-specific, terroir driven wines made from sustainably farmed grapes. Brea looks to foster relationships with farmers who know there vineyards inside and out while producing high-quality wines that are affordable and ready to drink.
The Margarita Vineyard, is located in Paso Robles at an elevation of 1,000 feet and 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean. It is SiP Certified (Sustainable in Practice). The Brea wine from this vineyard is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Petite Verdot and 5% Merlot aged for 20 months in 100% used French oak barrels. The wine has bright red currant and berry fruit with a distinct mineral core wrapped in elegant tannins. Enjoy with a marinated skirt steak served with rice and black beans.
