“The 2021 Zinfandel Bedrock Vineyard is a powerful, deep wine. The 2021 is not a huge wine, that actually works to its advantage. I like the freshness here as well as a style that seems to rely more on nuance than the bombastic intensity of some previous years. Sweet rose petal, cedar, tobacco, mint and kirsch all take shape in a wine that screams with varietal Zinfandel character. Even with all its obvious intensity, the 2021 retains terrific freshness.”
